Mystery shopping sounds an ideal job for some people. For me it conjures up images of being asked to go to a store and ask some questions, perhaps buy something which you will then take back, write up a report on the experience.
Today, I just want to alert anyone searching for combinations of Mystery Shopping job, Clinton Anderson (also spelt Clintin Anderson) and Surveylab that this is a scam. We were first made aware of a fraudster posing as a Surveylab employee via classified ads on Gumtree. Frustratingly, the guy (I know it’s a guy because I spoke to him) keeps at it. We really hope he isn’t having any success.
Clinton is too lazy to bother changing his email. We have seen him go by clintinsurveylab02@googlemail.com and clintinsurveylab03@googlemail.com which he seems to think looks professional enough to pass off as an established, professional company email address.
His English isn’t great either. An example:
Thanks for your mail and its well noted. well you will be paid 200£ per survey. get back if u bank with either of those banks.
For the record
- Surveylab Limited does not employ mystery shoppers
- No one called Clinton Anderson works for Surveylab
- All Surveylab’s emails come from a surveylab.co.uk address
