Our office is based in Wimbledon, south west London, and all our surveys and data are hosted on our own web-servers, maintained and installed at the state of the art Centro Data Centre in Hemel Hempstead.

Surveylab is a member of ESOMAR and we abide by the ICC/ESOMAR International Code of Marketing and Social Research Practice. Being a Data Processor we are subject to the Data Protection Act and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s office (registration number Z7887906).

History

Surveylab Limited was founded in 2003 by Dan Wardle and John Kemp, with the aim to create online survey tools to rival the DIY services that existed at the time. The pair met at TARP, a customer service consultancy, where Dan was Head of IT and led the very successful product development of its web ‘popup’ surveys and introduced online reports; and John was Head of European Consulting working with prestigious clients such as Fed-Ex, HSBC, Toyota, Virgin and Vodafone.

By 2005, the original plans for another online survey system changed to focus on the demand from businesses and organisations for cost-effective and professionally designed online surveys, fully customised to each client’s requirements. Uniquely amongst research agencies, Surveylab employs a full-time web/graphic designer, and today the team creates every survey using a robust and incredibly flexible coding framework.

From the beginning, Surveylab has built several bepoke online reports for clients, while a standard reporting platform has also evolved, designed from the outset to be intuitive and user-friendly. This reports platform continues to be improved and features added, helping users get even more from their survey results (all without the need for a maths degree).

Surveylab frequently partners with consultants and experts to deliver a greater, full-service solution. In North America, Surveylab is proud to have partnered with Customer Care Measurement & Consulting for more than six years, and to name but two in the UK – the Moore Adamson Craig Partnership (since 2004) and Annette Rowe at Excellence3 (our latest).
